Artist bio

Christina McPhee’s work investigates ways of knowing through methodologies of pattern discognition, translation, and transcription.

Her forensic observations research into multiple language systems, layering visual and sonic, scientific, and poetic data within drawing, painting, video, and photography. In collaboration with sound artists, poets, composers, and field research scientists, she creates topologic works for performance, installation, and exhibition; especially concerning climate futures, environmental histories, and spirituality. She lives and works in central coast California.
